Turbo Charger 7000

Today I’m reviewing the Proporta Turbo Charger 7000 which was kindly given to me to review by Proporta. I’d like to thank them for giving me the opportunity to test this device, and enable me to share my experience of the device with the readers of this blog.

Proporta’s range of Turbo Chargers have been around for quite a while, steadily going up in capacity over time from 3400 mAh, to 5000 mAh, eventually to a massive 7000 mAh. Your average smartphone has a battery capacity between 1200mAh to 1600mAh.

I tested the Turbo Charger 7000 with my Lumia 800 (1430mAh) and my Nexus 7 tablet (4350mAh) during a weekend away. The aim was to get through two days without taking power from the mains. Keep reading to find out whether that was successful or not!

The dual Nexus One charging stand

Today’s review comes courtesy of the kind folks at Mobile Fun, who have sent me a dual charging cradle for my Google Nexus One to test out.

Ever since I began using Android, my constant complaint has been poor battery life. The Nexus One I’m currently using came with the Froyo firmware, which didn’t have great battery life, but things have been even worse since I updated to Gingerbread.

One answer to the problem is a second battery. However, that isn’t much use if you can only charge while it’s in the phone! Therefore, I was keen to try out an independent charger.

Read my review, and see whether this is the accessory for you!

Desktop Nokia Battery Charger Review

Charge your spare Nokia Batteries

The benefit of having a phone with a user-replaceable battery, is that you can carry a spare when you’re going to be away from a charger. The downside, however, is that eventually the phone has to be plugged in twice as long to recharge the battery, and then the spare. This has been the case for me lately while using Nokia’s E55 and N97, both of which run on Nokia’s hero battery, the BP-4L.

Thanks to MobileFun.co.uk, I have a Nokia battery charger to review.
