Yesterday’s entry about EEStor capacitors was the best day I’ve ever had on this blog. I’ll let the following screen shot from Piwik tell the story:

The question is will you get more visitors on the blog about how many vistors you had then for a good article? ;-)

      Hi Dom,
Well so far, my numbers are “better than average” and it’s only mid-morning :-)

Seriously though, I doubt I will have a day like yesterday for ages. Although what I do hope is a “long tail” effect. Most my website hits are for the hardware reviews I wrote quite some time ago. So hopefully, the same will apply to this. I just happen to have latched on to something that people are searching for and will bring them here for a look.

      All the best,
      David

I posted it on reddit, and I got loads of hits from that.

Also, I’ve had some issues with your site rendering correctly on IE 6.

My college computers run only IE 6 and your site works, but your sidebar is below all of your text.

I should probably look into that as IE6 is my 3rd most popular incoming browser. Thing is, I only have IE7 installed instead, and I feel rather disinclined to support a legacy browser that isn’t even W3C standards compliant.

Thank you for letting me know though!

I say leave it. It’s not that big of a deal. Nobody will be using IE6 in a few months.

      Fair enough.
I tell you what though, you’ve given me food for thought about Reddit.
I think I shall join up and submit a few of my articles. If you e-mail me your username, I’ll add you as a friend once I’ve joined.
